Update on Princeton Dam Mar 21 2020

Update – Princeton Dam from the State of Wisconsn
Office of Wisconsin Rep. Ballweg

With the warm weather we have been experiencing, the Princeton Dam project is ahead of schedule.  Since construction began, the crew has installed the fish passage, placed riprap downstream, and completed the concrete pour on the north half of the spillway.   The pace of this project is largely determined on the future weather during the upcoming runoff season.
The Princeton Dam was in need of local assistance the past few years, as volunteers have gone above and beyond in their care and maintenance of this crucial fixture of the Lake Puckaway area.
Construction for this project began in November of 2019, and is expected to wrap-up by November 2020.

Subject: Princeton Dam Update

Hello,

I wanted to pass along a recent update our office received on the Princeton Dam project. Since conditions have been favorable, the contractor has continued to make some progress on the project over the holiday weeks. They continue to actively install sheet pile for the cofferdam around the north section. If they can keep working, the intention would be to install the fish passage, concrete weir cap and downstream riprap in the area during January and February. The site will remain closed to the public during construction.

As always, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any additional comments/concerns as the project progresses.

Hope you had a happy holidays!
